Hertford International Group PLC ("Hertford" or the "Company")
Placing of 10,000,000 new ordinary shares of 1p each, fully paid at 20p per share to raise approximately £1.67million after expenses and the admission of the whole of the enlarged issued share capital of 42,660,000ordinary shares to trading on AIM
Hertford is pleased to announce that its shares have been admitted to trading on AIM. Hertford is the holding company for Crewcard Network Limited ("CCN"), a company which markets pre-paid debit cards. CCN's initial target market is the money transfer market, which sees in excess of £2.3 billion remitted annually from the United Kingdom by migrant workers.
Core Product
CCN's core product consists of a primary CrewCard and secondary CrewCard, sold as a two card pack. The primary Crewcard is reloadable over the counter at a high street bank, or via transfer from another debit card. Once the primary card is loaded, it can be used to transfer funds to the secondary card. This transfer of funds is instant, and can also be made via the website or SMS message. Both cards can be used in shops, restaurants, online, or for ATM withdrawals wherever MasterCard is accepted.
The Company intends to market its product using both off-line, through retailers supported by appropriate marketing activities, and on-line channels focussing on particular ethnic community sites.
The Directors expect that CNN will generate its revenues from both transaction and administrative fees charged for managing the cards.
The Directors believe that admission to AIM will provide the Company with the necessary prerequisites to implement its business strategy.
"The funds raised will enable us to progress our development of the sales distribution network through the signing of contracts with key organistions in our chosen distribution channels. The current growth and outlook for the pre-paid card industry is healthy, and by investing in new technology CCN believes it can stay at the forefront of the payment card solutions market and benefit from the expansion in this marketplace." said Paul Marks (Chairman)
The Company is also pleased to announce the appointment of Zimmerman Adams International Limited as its Nominated Adviser and Broker.
